Beer
Beer is an alcoholic beverage fermented from cereals and malt-flavored hops. It is made through the brewing process, water is the most important part of the process. Almost all countries in the world can produce beers. Mostly beer contains 3-6 percent of alcohol.
Beer can be classified below:
- Lager a general term for beer made with bottom-fermenting yeast on mashing (7degeree celsius-12degree Celsius). Budweiser (USA), Heineken (Holland), Carlsberg (Denmark).
- Ale is a type of beer brewed using a top fermentation method (12degree celsius-15degree Celsius), resulting in a sweet, full-bodied, and fruity taste. As with most beers, ale typically has a bittering agent to balancing the sweetness of the malt and act as a preservative. Ex: Hooxgarden (Holland), Tiger (Singapore), Kolsch (Germany).
- Pilsener is a type of beer fermented at temperature 15degree celsius-24degree celsius. Has a slightly sweet taste, can produce other than barley. Bintang (Indonesia), Kirin (Japan).
- Stout is a dark beer made using roasted malt or roasting barley, hops, water, and yeast. Stout was traditionally the generic term for the strongest and stoutest porter's, typically 7%-8% produced by the brewery. There are a number of variables including baltic porter, milk stout, and imperial stout the most common variation is a dry stout, exemplified by Guinness Draught, the world best selling stout.
- Special Beer This is beer kind of beer made with the process of brewing worship of idols, hops (having a bitter taste, and acid) surpassing usual beer, and can be kept longer just like wine (white beer)
- Draught Beer is beer served from a cask or keg rather than from a bottle or can. Draught beer served from a pressured keg is also known as keg beer
